[Not that he has any reason not to believe Rei but yep, that sure is Jyushi. With the entry ticket for that dark web quest. Hitoya is about to write back brushing it off as a coincidence that it suits his style except...
That couldn't be it though????]
He'd been looking for something to do with the new kid from Ikebukuro when I suggested he check on the quests but... you're right.
[Oh?? My god???? No. No no no no. Noooo fucking way. Trying to fit this new information in his brain is like putting a square peg in a round hole. Jyushi has a crush on him, bought an orgy jewel, and is planning on attending with his son? It's SO ridiculous a concept that it can't be true.
And yet. AND YET
It takes Rei like an hour to respond. He has to walk away for a while and laugh himself sick.]
Then he's probably fine either way. Forget I asked.
[He can at least vouch for that much. See, Ichiro! Your dad can say nice things about you sometaahhaha haahaahhahhah fuck]
[Kuko had a powerpoint you see. But the details on one Yamada Ichiro were rather sparse. He may be a young man that's lived in the public eye for the past few years but that doesn't mean it gives Hitoya any kind of deeper insight into the person.
Or why they can be trusted to attend and orgy??? Please just say this is some hilarious misunderstanding so we can move on with our lives.]
[God dammit. Do NOT read into this. Please just keep thinking Rei is a fucking weirdo with receipts on everyone.]
He had a radio interview a while back, said he wouldn't date 'till those brothers of his were grown. He's about as experienced as Jyushi, so it seems unlikely he'd go off the rails just a month into Avalon.
[That AND fine, yeah, rei thinks ichiro could probably beat up an orgy fairy if he had to!! Oh my god!!!! Don't make this weirder than it is PLEASE]
About Ichiro? Let's see... Eldest of three, raises the other two. Has run his own odd-jobs company for a few years, and used a Mic for longer. Used to be a rough kid but is more on the straight and narrow these days. Think he's a Leo, if that matters to Jyushi-kun.
That's the basics. Anything else, you'll have to pay for.
[Rei considers dropping hints about the kid's run-ins with Kuko and ruining Ichiro's day... but, at least he won't do it for free.]
Ahh? Hitoya-sensei is asking for a discount?? Freeter life not treating you well? Guess passing the fey bar would require going to law school all over again huh. w
[Rei stop negging Hitoya and get to the point.]
Sure. I'll send you a dossier.
[True to his word, Hitoya will receive a hefty file with a discounted rate to open it. The information inside goes into much more detail about the Buster Bros leader, with specifics about Ichiro's teenager haunts, his string of part-time jobs, his involvement with the Mics.
It has Ichiro's ties to Rei scrubbed from it-- that's above this particular paygrade.
If all the services rendered over the past months don't count for much, I'm sure they'd be better appreciated elsewhere.
[New year, new tax season right?
Although all further banter that might have followed falls silent as Hitoya receives the file and opens it for an initial scan. Or what he intended to be a quick scan until Kuko's name catchs his eye. Not once, nor twice, but again and again, all in the span of about a year or less.
Thinking back on it, the timeline matches up. Hitoya hadn't involved himself in Kuko's life the way he had with Jyushi. As immature and obnoxious as he was, Kuko was some who knew how to take care of himself.
It was only through his connection to Shakku and the Kugenji Temple that Hitoya even heard in passing that he had made off one day. East. He hadn't thought much of it. And as unobtrusively as he had disappeared, Kuko materialized one day, with a haunted look in his eye and not a word lower than 100 decibels for anyone that tried to bring it up.
So it was Ikebukuro. And Ichiro.
A lot of pieces that had been floating aimlessly without explanation begin to fall in to place.]

I'd argue that's pure conjecture but...
Not a bad assumption.
[It serves the purpose of putting him a little more at ease anyway.]
What else do you know?

[The part about being a Leo is right up Jyushi's alley at least and he can't exactly google all the birthdays he doesn't remember here.]
Will that be the usual rate? It's for Jyushi's sake after all. Since we're both so concerned with him making responsible choices.

But what it does have....... is Kuko.]

Thanks. Wasn't expecting a two for one deal.
